On the vault of this small hexagonal room set up as the washroom of the Marquess is depicted the toilette of Venus, a classical myth revised according to modern customs, that is often found in 19th century wall decorations. A reclining Venus completely surrenders to the care and attention concentrated upon her by three servants. In the meantime, Cupid is tying her shoe laces. In the background you can see the shell from which Venus is said to have been born, with two cherubs intent on playing on it.
